From the Catechism:
2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. They do not choose their homosexual condition; for most of them it is a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
Any unmarried persons are to abstain from sex until married in the Church. Whether straight or gay. It is in acting on these desires that we become a slave to sin.
Below is the complete section from the Catechism and the link to the Vatican's website.
Chastity and homosexuality

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,140 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."141 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.
"There are not more than 100 people in the world who truly hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they perceive to be the Catholic Church. ....As a matter of fact, if we Catholics believed all of the untruths and lies which were said against the Church, we probably would hate the Church a thousand times more than they do." -----Archbishop Sheen

MYTH #22 As a Catholic you dont have to believe everything the Church teaches
Catholics are bound to believe and trust all that the Catholic Church teaches. You either believe all the Church teaches or or you believe none of it. "You can not be sort of pregnant".
The bible tells us that the Church is the Pillar and Foundation of Truth:
1Timothy 3:15 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
The Church is protected by the Holy Spirit and can not error in it's teachings, Jesus told us that "the gates of hell will not prevail against it [his Church].
Now, Jesus never said all who are in the Church would be Holy but the Church would always remain Holy. Jesus said that he would be with us until the end of the age.

MYTH #21 There is no such thing as Mortal sin, all sin is Mortal
Well 1John 5:17 proves this wrong right off the bat!
1John 5:17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin which is not mortal.
Then we have what Jesus taught us.
Matthew 12:32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
So the levels accoring to the bible are:
1) Unforgivable
2) Deadly (Mortal)
3) Not Deadly.
