MYTH #11 Catholics keep Jesus on the Cross even though he has risen

Jesus wanted us to remember his sacifice. "Do this in memory of me" he says.

So why do Catholics have Jesus on the Cross? Well because that's what has been done from the start. It is even in the bible. We see in Galatians that there was a "public portrayal" of Jesus' crucifixion.

Galatians 3:1 O stupid Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?

1Corinthians 15:12 But if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some among you say there is no resurrection of the dead?

1Corinthians 15:13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then neither has Christ been raised.

1Corinthians 1:23 but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

@hawk849@verizon.net,

I believe your question is answered with the scripture I provided.

I am not sure what more I can add to a response.
